Position: Director of Marketing
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Develop ads, landing pages, emails and other collaterals that effectively communicate the benefits of our product to multiple audiences
- Create awareness and a positive image of Surf Canyon among its target audiences through social media and traditional public relations
- Develop direct response campaigns, plan them, implement them and measure results
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience in the creative direction of web design, collateral design, advertising, and other marketing campaigns
- 5+ years experience with web design and web marketing
- Finely tuned intuition for recognizing whether a web page, email or other marketing material effectively communicates the key message to its audience
- Thorough understanding of social media and techniques for utilizing this channel to promote knowledge of product and company
- Familiarity and experience with software and or the computer industry
- ROI responsibility for marketing campaigns with a proven track record of success
- Expert project management skills with the proven ability to juggle multiple projects
Position: QA / Release Engineer
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Learn the system architecture at both high and low levels and identify areas of risk
- Set up and maintain testing environment
- Develop and execute test plans
- Report testing status and follow up with engineers to get closure on bugs
- Implement automated reusable scripts for doing source code management, builds, and deployments to multiple servers
- Manage our source code respository
- Maintain our database system
- Implement and maintain our backup system
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in testing and deployment of web-based applications
- Expertise in both black box and white box testing
- Experience with manual testing of web apps using both IE and Firefox
- Ability to detect and clearly document software bugs
- In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies and technologies. Good understanding of Software Development process.
- Hands-on experience with Java servlets, JavaScript, XML
- Hands-on experience writing and maintaining perl scripts and ant scripts
- Hands-on experience with SQL database administration
- Hands-on experience with either CVS or Subversion
- Have good communication and time management skills
- BSEE/BSCS or equivalent in Computer Science or related field
